Table of Gods is a historical culinary project created by author and researcher Arim Hawsho. It is a cookbook that recreates 70 recipes from ancient Mesopotamia, adapted for modern kitchens and tested over seven years with input from chefs, historians, and food stylists. The project includes original photography, stories from ancient Mesopotamian cities, and guides to Sumerian and Akkadian language. Published as a luxury art book with a clay-infused cover, it was launched on Kickstarter and has received praise from Assyriologists and culinary historians at Yale and the University of Helsinki.
